02 September, 2021 5:32 pm

Zscaler received a $2 million, one-year contract to provide the U.S. Office of Personnel Management with secure web access. The award, signed June 30 with a period of performance starting on Aug. 30, represents incremental revenue for Zscaler.

The award is part of a project to centralize the management of network security that will allow the agency to "reduce the size of its hardware footprint and the architectures that support user access," according to contracting documents.

The contract, issued to Zscaler partner Carahsoft, was described in government data only as a "Secure Access Service Edge SASE Solution." Nation analytics obtained documents via the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) process confirming the award is for Zscaler's solution. A document showing the contract line items is available here.

The contract was issued by the General Services Administration on behalf of OPM.
