Tenable $6.3 Million VA Deal Adds Incremental Revenue

06 May, 2021 4:21 am

Tenable's $6.3 million, one-year contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs is a substantial expansion with the agency and the company's largest federal deal to date. The contract, signed on May 5, includes the Tenable.sc Director offering, an add-on that provides "centralized management and scanning capabilities to reduce complexity and give multiple-console customers complete visibility across their entire network," according to the company.

Though the award likely consolidates licenses the VA previously purchased under separate contracts, it nearly doubles the VA's total spend with Tenable in 2020, according to Nation Analytics data. The award comes after a federal official in March said agencies would be getting new tools to improve network visibility in the wake of the SolarWinds hack.
