Maximus Gets Potential $951 Million Covid Hotline Contract

Maximus has received a contract worth up to $951 million to provide a national COVID 19 vaccination assistance hotline and "info surge support" to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The contract has a start date of April 19, 2021 and runs through February 2023. The government has exercised $220 million for the first year of performance, an indication that the total potential value of $951 million likely includes options to expand capacity and may not be reached.

Even at $220 million a year, the contract is one of Maximus' largest-ever federal wins.

The award represents a significant escalation in the federal government's efforts to provide the public with information about COVID 19 vaccines. Maximus, which has been recommending ways to build trust in the vaccination program, in early 2020 received a $6 million award for a vaccine management contact center, and in February received a $9 million COVID helpdesk contract.

Maximus was the only bidder for the contract.
