GD Beats Textron for $99 million FAA Data Analysis Contract

General Dynamics beat six other bidders for a $99 million, seven-year deal to upgrade the FAA's national airspace performance data and analysis reporting system. The new contract, issued July 19, goes by the acronym DVARS (Data Visualization, Analysis, and Reporting System).

The previous version of the contract, known as PDARS, was held by Textron's ATAC unit.
