CSRA Snags a Rare New Requirement With $498 Million DOD Cloud Win

Posted on June 12, 2017

CSRA beat four competitors for a military cloud contract valued as high as $498 million over eight years, according to a Pentagon announcement on June 9. The win is notable for several reasons.

1. This is a new requirement, so it's incremental business for the company.
2. Cloud is one of the top categories of new requirements in the federal services market, so this win gives CSRA a huge beachhead in an emerging growth area. Defense has lagged civilian agencies in cloud adoption, so there is greater growth potential on the DOD side.
3. New requirements attract a lot of bidders. Beating four competitors is no small task.
4. This is a single-award IDIQ, so it is all CSRA.
