Energy Department Boots Another Incumbent

Incumbents are having a tough time hanging onto major facilities management deals at the Energy Department these days.

The latest example is National Security Technologies LLC, a JV of companies including Northrop Grumman and AECOM that has been the longtime management and operations contractor at the Nevada National Security Site. The new award to manage the site, valued at $5.3 billion over 10 years, was issued on May 12 to Mission Support and Test Services, a JV of Honeywell, Jacobs Engineering Group and Stoller Newport News Nuclear.
